John 8:7
"He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first."

The following story is taken from Connecting, a book by Larry Crabb. In a camp for troubled teens, a girl told her struggle. With her lips twitching and tears falling down, she admitted, “I’ve been a prostitute for the last three years. I am so sorry.”
While she was nervous standing there, her father came to her, hugged her, and said, “When I look at you, I don’t see a prostitute in you. You are already cleansed by the blood of Christ. Now I see my beautiful girl.”
More than just a touching family story, it tells us a lesson to be implemented by church, especially in dealing with troubled Christians. How do we respond to sinful believers? Too many times we judge and gossip them.
Basically, a church is family of God. Anyone who falls into transgression is not to be defiled but to be cared and helped. Likewise the girl’s father, we can learn to not focus on the wrongdoings. We should focus on reality that we have been redeemed by Christ and there is healing through His grace. This attitude leads to good healing to raise the fallen, just like what Jesus did to the woman caught in adultery.
God’s kindness is meant to lead us to repentance.
