War and conflict between Israel and Palestine has resulted in lots of sorrow, fear, trauma, suffering, loss, and despair. It still happens today. They live in fear and try to survive. Some of them flee from land of their birth and from the battle as well.

But could they enjoy the freedom again? The concerns of two sides are there—both of them will not succumb to each other. However, they cannot comprehend that a man has lost his loved one or family has lost their property due to the war. Even children had to experience a traumatic event. Both two sides in this conflict only mind their own business.

A child in Gaza found hope when he saw a man lived his life normally—he sold watermelons. It gave him hope; he knew that one day the people of Gaza would live in peace, and that was the reason he struggled to survive.

Have we realized that many times we experience the same thing? Perhaps we do not experience the real “conflict”, but we do have conflict in our heart. Don’t we realize that we are captives to our own flesh desires, to others’ wicked desires, or even to any other things we do not know yet?

As Paul has done, we always want to do right things, yet we do what we hate. We often ask ourselves: Why should the bad things happen to us? Why do problems come over and over again? Shall we enjoy freedom and be free from any problems?

The answer is, yes, you shall. We can find hope knowing that Jesus provides way outs. He himself said that He will proclaim liberty to the captives. But the most important thing is, do we trust Him? Do we believe that He will give us liberty and He surely is powerful to do so? Just trust in Him.
