Matthew 6:27

Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

Hakuna Matata, this phrase must have been familiar to you. Hakuna Matata is a Swahili phrase; it means “no worries”. The phrase has been popularized since 1980 by its use in a music group from Kenya and then in The Lion King in 1994.

Hakuna Matata is similar to an advice asking you to free yourself from worry and problems, and enjoy life. In essence, problems are inevitable. They come at anytime, in anywhere and for anyone. Nobody is free from problems. There are so many people cannot enjoy life every day due to their worries.

Worries make people change their focus in life. Worries let the problems harder to solve. Worries weaken us and eliminate our hope.

This advice is truly simple, yet God also asks us not to worry about anything. God would not immediately get rid of your problems. Instead, God would ask us to change our focus, from worry to Christ the Keeper of our life.

Do not let worry steal the joy of life in God.
