We Are the Reason

children we would dream of Christmas morn
Of all the
gifts and toys we knew we’d find
But we never
realized a baby born one blessed night
Gave us the
greatest gift of our lives
As the years
went by we learned more about gifts
The giving
of ourselves and what that means
On a dark
and cloudy day a man hung crying in the rain
All because
of love
All because
of love
And we are
the reason that He gave His life
We are the
reason that He suffered and died
To a world
that was lost He gave all He could give
To show us
the reason to live
Matthew 1:20-23
But while he thought about these
things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying,
“Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that
which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a
Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their
sins.” So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the
Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear
a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with
us.”
