Luke 17:6

So the Lord said, "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

Bible Reading for a Year [bible]psalm8[/bible]; [bible]revel14[/bible]; [bible]nehem8-9[/bible]

Faith is believing is spite of not seeing. But I am often confused when a friend said, “I have faith that this year we will be able to buy a house.” Or, “We have faith that we will have a baby this year.” Those remarks seem to believe that God will realize any desire we had made and patented by the word “have faith…”

Indeed, the Word of God says in today’s bible reading that if we have faith as a mustard seed, we can instruct the mulberry tree to be planted in the sea. However, that does not mean we can say what we want and have it real merely by saying “I have faith.”

That word is not mantra “Abracadabra..alakazam.” Faith is not a mantra we can use to get what we want. Faith is when we have heard and captured the word of God personally, and we finally arrive at a decision and conviction that the word is about to be realized in physical realm because God has given us the spirit of faith.

“To believe” is not merely a word of faith or a command to God to fulfill the desires of our hearts. We should be wiser and change our paradigm that consider the Bible’s teachings as the instant case and leave the misuse of the word to our personal interests. If we still find ourselves have such faith, then ask God to let our heart, soul and mind capture and understand the word of God, so we can believe properly, and He would lead our minds to act properly according to His word.

God demands an obedience and hard work to prove the faith, more than just believe.
