Genesis
8:1
Then God remembered
Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the
ark. And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.

Reading for a Year
[bible]psalm135[/bible]; [bible]iicor8[/bible]; [bible]ichro5-7[/bible]
When we read the
story of Noah, we usually focus only on the part of him building the ark and
entering it. However, we seldom imagine what Noah and family, along with the
animals, are doing in the ark. They spent almost one year living inside the
ark!
They were stranded
in the waters for a year. At that moment, they didn’t hear any sound of God’s
voice that instructed them when to go out of the ark. Noah and his children and
his wife might have wondered why God ignored them. They had no idea what they
should do next.
But in Genesis 8:1
we find, “Then God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals
that were with him in the ark.” God never forgets. In this verse, we are
confirmed that God never forgets Noah and all the animals. We should remember
that God never forgets us.
Sometimes God works
mysteriously. Sometimes He answers our prayer quickly, but sometimes we need to
wait patiently. It might take a week, a month, a year, or even a dozen years or
decades. But the one thing for sure, God never forgets us. He knows the right
time and the right thing for us. He cares about us.
Trust in God; He
will complete what He has begun. He has promised us this through the Apostle of
Paul. “..being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work
in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)
Never lose hope, because God is
able to complete the good work He has begun.
