In early 1980s, U.S. First Lady, Nancy Reagan was popular for her campaign “JUST SAY NO” for children to stay away from drugs. If children were offered drugs, she said to them, “Just say NO!” it might sound simple, but if we really think about it, saying “no” can prevent us from many dangers in our life.
Sins come from small things. It starts with a glass of alcohol and it ends with an alcoholic; from playing cards and small gambles, to gambling addictions; from trying to smoke weeds and it ends with addictions to not only weeds, but also leveling up to cocaine.
The truth is: a person does not just fall into a terrible sin. They’re falling slowly. They’re opening cracks for sins to enter their lives. You know what? When a demon is given a place just one centimeter in our lives, he will rush into it and take over our entire lives. That’s why providing just a small place for sins is very dangerous.
So, just like what Nancy Reagan had said, let us say “no” when any temptations of committing sins are there, whatever they are. Let us be like Josef, who said no when the sexual temptation was approaching him and he ran away from it.
Just believe that nobody is proof of sins, so do not let you try yourself by saying “okay”.
