Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you.

Jesus declares clearly that He saw the devils have fallen down from the sky. It is said by Jesus after He received an exhilarated report from His disciples that devils had bowed down unto them when they used the name of Jesus. ([bible]0Luke10:17-18[/bible])
It is a breakthrough in human history when the devils bowed down unto the ordinary people like Jesus’s disciples. They did not fast for 40 days and 40 nights, and they also did not meet God like Moses, but they gained power from Jesus Christ.
This thing is also aplicable for every one who puts their trust in Jesus and love Him whole-hearted.Since Jesus was on this earth, the devils have been made falling down from the sky and the devils were defeated in His name, moreover after Jesus Christ raised up from the death, lifted up to the heaven and sat in the right side of the God of Father, the devils had already been defeated!
Since Jesus was back to the heaven, then the Holy Spirit was given to the faithfull. We could save more people from the devil's bondage by the absolute authority and gift from the Holy Spirit.
Let us accept by the faith of Jesus’s words above that there is no one would harm us. Let us use the authority that has been given by Jesus to resist the enemy forces and to step on snakes and scorpions (the description of intimidation and death).
Rather than busy to be aware against the devil's strategy, it is better for us to come close to the Lord and preach the Gospel which is the highly feared by devils.
