and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God

Prayer is the believer’s life of breath. If prayer is
like the breath, of course praying should be done continuously. Without
praying, we would die.
Yet, many times we miss our daily prayer. Instead of
praying continuously, we spend most of the days without praying at all. We make
some excuses like, we are bored with praying and we run our of prayer material.
If so, then there’s something wrong with our concept of praying.
In fact, the disruption of praying life is fear and
anxiety. Such feelings eventually hinder our desire to ask God in prayer and
thanksgiving. Paul said to the Philippians. In Phi 4:4-7, Paul affirms that
Christ has already provided resources for our ministry and will always give us peace
so we don’t need to worry.
In this case, Christ has guaranteed that all things,
including our anxiety, could be a prayer material. In any situation, we can
come to Him and tell Him all things in our heart openly. Through a prayer, we
can be restored. Through a prayer, we can be relieved from fear and anxiety. God
will give us peace instead.
So, there is no reason for us to feel bored or run out
of prayer material. There is no reason for believers not to pray! If recently
your prayer life is interrupted, try examining your heart.
You
will not feel bored in prayer when you consider prayer as story-telling time
with God, time for sharing experiences as a child with his father.
