For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Being free from the penalty of sin is not something we get to pay for with our blood, sweat and tears. It is not even purchased with the ability and strength of man. It comes from the precious blood of Jesus and the scriptures alone. The Bible clearly states about the great influence of his death to all believers. Now we deserve to enjoy freedom and independence from the bondage of sin.

Romans 8:1-4 tells us that there’s no more punishment for those who believe in Jesus. “God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” (Romans 8:3b-4)

Fulfillment of the Holy Spirit has created a new law, the new agreement which has broken the chain of sin. We no longer live under sin but are freed to live a life led by the Holy Spirit. “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”(2 Corinthians 3:17)

The Bible says about the simple truth of sin, that freedom has become ours through Christ Jesus. To experience and enjoy true freedom, we need to open our heart to be filled by the Holy Spirit. (read Romans 6:6, 18, 22)

Our old is exchanged with a new creation. We are no longer slaves to sin. Our future is the joy, peace and freedom in the Spirit. God has a bigger plan through everyone far beyond our merely focus on sin; being sorry for ourselves and collapsed with the fall and our dark past. Jesus died to give us abundant life where freedom and love to be a part of us, instead of sin and destruction.

Holy blood of Jesus shed on the cross in remembrance of human freedom from the law of sin and death once and for all.
