Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.
Bible Reading for a Year [bible]psalm3[/bible]; [bible]matth3[/bible]; [bible]iking21-22[/bible]
A skillful musician knows that adversity goes before honor and praise. He knows that he have to go through days of difficult and tiring practice, as well as self-sacrifice. He must arrive several hours before the show to receive a standing ovation.
A student knows that before having graduate with best marks, he needs to learn, deny himself, and be committed. And so do the astronauts. Before taking short flight for a few days, they need to spend years of practice.
In order to be the faithful servant of God, the Bible tells us a similar way. It takes faithfulness and sacrifice to be a kind of servant He wants. Moreover, the Apostle Paul writes it more clearly in one of his letters to the Corinthians, “But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.” ([bible]icori9:27[/bible])
Being ready is the first step to serve the Lord, but we have to put loyalty and dedication afterwards so that we can serve Him constantly and firmly.
Without adversity, you cannot be the faithful servant of God.
