I Samuel 17:37
“The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.”

The story of David defeating Goliath is one of the Bible stories that I always remember today. I used to ask myself, what makes David so brave to deal with 2.97 m Philistine giant that brought 56.7 kg weapon? Was his gut big? Probably yes. But in my reading I found that David was so brave because he had been through many battles together with God during his job as a shepherd ([bible]isamu17:34-35[/bible]).
David experienced God’s power and participation while he worked daily. David met God not in the house of worship, but in his daily chores and in his tranquil activity. His faith in God was built from the daily experiences. That is the faith which makes David brave while defeating Goliath and later he became the champion.
God is yearning to let us experience what David has gone through. God is yearning that we know Him not only at church, but also through our daily experience. God is yearning that we get His help in every problems we deal with. Now, the choice is ours: shall we walk with Him always? Of course, it is not a difficult decision to make because you can choose the answer—yes or no—no more no less. – GS
God does not want to meet us once a week; He wants to be with us every time.
