I cried out to You, O Lord: I said, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.

Bible reading for a Year [bible]psalm86[/bible]; [bible]roman14[/bible]; [bible]deute19-20[/bible]

One day, Nina (a fictitious name) was daydreaming by herself in her room. She felt so lonely. After working all day long, she had to go through the traffic jam while going home. She even had to stand in the bus crowded with people. However, she felt so alone.

Sometimes, she hung out with friends. They laughed and talked a lot, ate some delicious food and had some fun. But deep down inside her heart, Nina still felt alone. When she went back to her room, she was lonely.

Nina represents what we feel. We may have a family, friends, people surround us, but sometimes the loneliness creeps in. It seems like nobody understands or cares about us. Moreover, we have the great God, but we still feel alone. Why?

It’s not what we have that can fill the emptiness, but who is inside us. Do we really realize that we belong to Christ and we’ve got Him who understands us to the least things about us, or do we think that we are very ordinary—whose life is ordinary and no one cares for?

David had gone through the same situation. He felt no one minds him. But he cried out to the Lord. He trusted in the Lord in every way. God is the answer in your life. So, no matter what you are going through, just cry out to Him.

God is the answer to every problem and struggle, so cry out to Him, and you will find rest for your souls.
