Matthew 10:16
"I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves"
Bible Reading for A Year: Psalms 29; Philippians 1; Job 38-39
No matter how great we are in dealing with struggle, we surely need the right mentor so that we do not easily fall down and invincible.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12).
Sometimes, our main enemy is our ego. Thus we need to have a self-control. Many crimes or conflicts happen around us. As a result, we are unable to control our emotions when we must be confronted with challenges. All things come from heart.
Our existences (as believers) are like sheep among wolves. Sheep are weaker than wolves.
Therefore we need a shepherd to conduct and take us out to pasture as well as protect us from enemy attack, especially from wild animals (wolves).
From this, we know that our enemies are not random, we should hear a voice of our pastor and have an obedient heart to do what our pastor asks for.
