Adolfo Esquivel , an artist from Argentine, issued a series of illustrations of the unique Cross paintings . He described how Christ out of a modern prison  and carry the cross in between a busy city street , factories that pollute the air, felling trees , the slums, accompanied by the Negroes, victims of racism, some unemployment drug addiction teenagers, and mothers whose children "kidnapped" by the politicians. Modern interpretation of the work of Christ reminds me again that Christ also came for all those who suffer out there now.

The genealogy of Christ is recorded by Matthew affirms that Christ is present to everyone. Yes, we see the name of David, the great king of Israel. However, there is also Rahab, a harlot and Ruth, a foreign woman. Christ comes from the pedigree with various backgrounds of life. And even while living in the world, He is even willing to be with them, being alienated and humiliated by their society: women, widows, tax collectors, the poor, lepers, until the fishermen of Galilee (which was then known as the area of the "infidels" and its citizens likes to fight).

Let us always remember that Christ is with them who feel how hard life is. He is with those who are underestimated for economic competition and social rank differences. Are we also with them? Or, perhaps we are too busy in our activities at the church and do not bless out? - OLV
