Sometimes, we want to get out of the bustle to pray. However, God wants us to pray all the time. Even believers have the motto "prayer is the breath of Christian." But how can we pray when we are busy along the time?
The author of the classic book at the seventh century, Brother Lowrence gives some tips in his book entitled "Practising the Presence of God." Brother Lowrence who is a simple chef at a monastery in France changes any common and usual tasks such as preparing food and washing dishes as an act of praise and communion with God. We can do that similar thing, we do everything, and make it as a compliment and worshipping to God.
The second thing is by lifting a brief of conversation prayers with God. Use short sentences such as,"You are with me." "I accept thy grace." Or you can also quote the Word of God as: "For me to live is Christ." "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want." Isn’t easy?
Like a musician practicing chords every day in order to play beautiful music easily, we also have to force our selves to remember God all of the days. At first, we maybe need a reminder, sometimes we will feel the presence of God but sometimes not. But we have to keep praying and talking to Him. Because prayer is not about our feelings, but rather a continuous awareness. That's the lifestyle.
Building a friendship with God is alike building a prayer as our lifestyle all the time.
