For You, O my God, have revealed to Your servant that You will build him a house. Therefore Your servant has found it in his heart to pray before You.

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm29[/bible];[bible]iThes1[/bible];[bible]Isaia11-12[/bible]

In I Chronicles 17, God gave David a promise that one of his descendants would inherit the throne. He will have a lasting dynasty. It is like an expansion in David’s life, because at that time his power is not solid yet. He could have said, "Lord I'm just a shepherd. My job is to shepherd the sheep of my father. I do not have a formal education and experience."

But David did not say that, he trusted God even if it seems still very far away, he did not reject God's promise. David said in verse 23, "And now, O Lord, the word which You have spoken concerning Your servant and concerning his house, let it be established forever, and do as You have said." At that time David believed God's promise boldly, but on what basis?

In verse 25, David said, " For You, O my God, have revealed to Your servant that You will build him a house. Therefore Your servant has found it in his heart to pray before You." In other words, David says, "Lord, I ask You this big thing boldly not because of my own abilities, but because You have promised, and will definitely keep it."
