Ephesians 4:3-4
"Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called"
Bible Reading for A Year: Psalms 25; Matthew 25; 2 Chronicles 27-28
Nowadays, there are many factors of distinctions can trigger any conflicts and problems which have great and long solutions. In fact, if we want to look inside to where we are involved in, for example church, community, or church congregation, there are many different backgrounds and other factors.
However, we can still gather and be united in one family bond of the Kingdom of God. In fact, by the blood of Jesus and the Gospel, we have already become a unity: one body, one spirit, one hope, one God, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father (verse 4-6), consequently “…, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household,” (Ephesians 2:19).
Now our duty is to maintain the unity and the integrity between each congregation so it will remain as a warm place. It can only happen if each congregation has their own consciences. There is no any inducement and coercion since many people are willing to play their roles in churches happily.
When people realize that they are not guest or stranger but a resident of the God’s family, then we do not need any flattery asking them to get involved in church activities. This is what so called ‘a staple’ in forming a warm church. This is an opportunity to show love without any only words and discriminations, but with real actions.
