Ecclesiastes 2:26
For God
gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight; but to
the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting, that he may give to
him who is good before God. This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.

[bible]ezeki30:1-19[/bible]
One day, a
power outage occurred in New York. Two men sharing an apartment together went
back home. They were so tired, but their room was on the 30th floor.
Due to the outage, they had to use stairs instead of elevators.
In order to
not be thirsty and hungry while climbing the stairs, they bought food and drink
for their supplies. Later, they climbed the stairs, one step at a time. Many
times they needed to rest, and eat their supplies.
After a long
time, they arrived in the front of their room. But as it turned out they left
the room key in the car parked in the basement parking.
Though they
had great preparations, they had missed the most important supply.
And so it is
with this life. Human prepares many supplies for himself or his family and
consider them as important. Of course we need them, but many times we miss the
most important thing—the reason why we live and why we labor. But as we seek
for God’s will, every effort is not in vain. Moreover, God gives everything to
those who please Him.
When we
focus on preparing the supplies for living on earth, our effort is like
grasping for the wind. But when we prepare the supplies for living in heaven
and to please God, everything is not in vain.
