Bible Reading for a Year [bible]psalm132[/bible]; [bible]iicor5[/bible]; [bible]isamu30-31[/bible]

As humans, we think rationally and we want things to be measurable, predictable, and as secure as possible. Then we apply the same thought in building relationship with God, wwhich we want all things to be secure and hope that God will agree with us. But the reality is qquite different, isn’t it?

If you wish God and humans were alike, you would be disappointed. His thoughts are way different to ours. Many times God gives irrational command according to humans’ viewpoint. Abraham was asked to go to the unknown land, Moses was asked to divide the sea using a rod and to strike a rock and make water come out of it, Israelites were asked to march around the enclosure to fall down the wall of Jericho, and there are many more notes about God’s commands which are “weird” and “irrational”.

Despite irrational, none of God’s commands failed. All of them work successfully and prove how great and wonderful God is. It happens when those who receive the command obey God. When we look carefully at every story in the Bible, we will find notes such as “Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.” (Genesis 6:22), and so on.

Our response determines the result. When we obey the God’s command, believe that there’s a miracle ahead. But when we choose to use our own way and ignore God, we will find futility and downfall. That is why we need faith in following God, because faith will teach us how to believe through impossibility.

If we believe that our God is incredible, do not ever wish to have ordinary life.
