Maybe we have been or are dealing with someone who has big trouble that leads to a mental illness. It is not easy to stay focus on him and be patient with him. But, do you know that there are no coincidences. God let you go through it for a particular purpose that will be a blessing for you.
However, what is the right way to keep serving everybody with mental illness? To the churches in Colosse, the apostle Paul told them to serve the souls with joy, not with compulsion, and also “…put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, and longsuffering.”
When we serve the souls with tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, and longsuffering we will not be weary, disappointed, desperate, and resentful because someone lets us down or rejects us. On the contrary, we can be enthusiastic always while serving regardless of circumstances; we won’t restrain our mouth from witness and preach the gospel and teach the word of God for others.
