John 20:27
Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

The proof of crucifixion that Jesus had was clearly seen on His body before His ascension. There were gaping holes on His hands, feet, and side. In one part of His body, Jesus asked Thomas to put his finger into it. It happened because of Thomas’ disbelief that Jesus has been raised from the dead, and He even appeared to His disciples.
Beside to Thomas, according to the gospel of John’s writer, Jesus also showed His hands and side to other disciples that had gathered together and locked the doors of the place because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Then Thomas replied to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Thomas believed because he had seen Him. However, Jesus said, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
We are one of the generations that have never seen Jesus; we have never seen His face directly. We have not seen how two fish and five barley loaves were enough for five thousand men live on television; we have never recorded how He healed the sick—yet we have believed. We are those who are blessed, just like Jesus said.
We do not need to put finger into Jesus’ side to believe in Him. The proof of crucifixion on His body is real evidence that He is alive after being dead, indeed. Nobody is able to do so. Then, how could we say that it is right if we haven’t seen the evidence? Because the Bible is trustworthy; it is consistent with history. Moreover, it is trustworthy because of the faith.
Hence, when we doubt Jesus and His power over our life, remember His word. “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” We are blessed because we have found the righteousness, strength to deal with problems, the rock of refuge, the doctor above all doctors, the Savior of soul, and so on. It means that we have found everything in just one name: Jesus.
Just by believing in Jesus, we are blessed. That means we have got a key for all aspects in our life, that is Jesus—if and only if we believe in Him.
