Romans 8:28

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."

Bible Reading for a Year: Psalms 119:89-176; 1 Corinthians 8; 1 Samuel 3-4

During the trip to Vietnam, our group was brought into a cave known as Vietnamese warriors’ hideout while having war against United States of America. The cave is dark, very extensive, and winding. People who have not been familiar with the cave will get slipped and hurt due to misstep. However, since the tour leader has been familiar with the cave, we are safe while walking with him.

Our life journey is quite similar with the trip into the cave. Since we do not know what lies before us, we are tend to go astray and get hurt walking through life alone. However, we have God who knows, and He even rules over every history of our life and every creature. Nothing occurs without His consent and outside of His plan. Moreover, all things are used by Him for good to us! Hence, while we are walking with Him, we are safe.

In this unpredictable world, many challenges might come to us. Perhaps some of us have financial problems, sickness that getting worse, or kids’ rebellious behavior. Let us not leave God during the hard times, but hold His hands more tightly instead. He will lead us and strengthen us in dealing with the challenges. –ALS
