Nowadays many believers are no longer faithful to God, even leave God and obviously sell their faith. And so it is with Rehoboam, a king that lost his self-restraint, was drowning in power and wealth. Having been so strong, rich, famous, and in power, he later left God and forsook the law of the Lord.
The Bible clearly stated that friendship with the world is enmity with God, “Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” (James 4:4)
It turns out that being friends with the world is considered making ourselves an enemy of God—and guess what when we love this world. To love this world means to love every worldly things including the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (1 John 2:16).
It is impossible for anyone to please God as long as he lives in the flesh and has concern over worldly things! Do not ever leave God for any reasons, because the consequence might be so fatal!
