Psalms 6:9
"Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; for the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping."
Bible Reading for a Year: Psalms 85; Luke 6; Jeremiah 18-20
Sometimes small things make us fall, don’t they? They can be friend’s unpleasant statement, bad news from the car mechanic, financial disaster, or rebellious children. Those small things can bring clouds of sorrow, even in the sunny day. We know that we have to rejoice, but it seems like everything is against you, so every simple tasks become a struggle.
Certainly that’s what David felt when he wrote (Psalms 6). He was so weary, fatigued, confused, left out, and mournful. But he knew what to do when falling. He looked up and believed that God would protect and help him.
As we look up to and focus on God, great things happen. Our eyes are no longer on ourselves, and we may get restored admiration of Him.
In the future, when we fall, try to look up to God. He reigns (Psalms 47:8); He loves you (1 John 4:9-10); you are special to Him (Matthew 6:26); He has great plans for us in every test (James1:2-4).
Yes, many times life seems so unbearable, but don’t let life fall us down. Meditate on God’s mercy, talk to Him, and know that He listens to us. They would strengthen us to rise after falling.
When life makes you fall down, you are on the right position to pray.
