Numbers 14:9

"Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them."

Bible Reading for a Year [bible]psalm72[/bible]; [bible]hebre6[/bible]; [bible]zepha1-3[/bible]

In the book of Hebrews we learn that the main reason why the first generation of Israelites did not enter the Promised Land is because they grumbled. And this is also the reason why many people haven’t fulfilled their calling.

Every time we grumble, we grumble at God. When we grumble at our leaders, we grumble about leadership God has put in our life ([bible]roman13[/bible]). When we grumble about our life partners, our children, or any other circumstance, then we grumble about how God leads our life.

Grumbling makes us unable to see God’s purpose in our life since we are focusing on the problems instead of the way out. Chemical and biological disorder can lead us to depression, and later affect our spirituality.

Therefore, if nowadays you are bored with the desert of problems, then it is the time to look back on God’s promises and see His never ending mercy. Do not focus on the dark side of life, but start staring at the bright one.

So did the 12 spies whom Moses sent to the Promised Land. Ten of them were convinced that the obstacles were too big—the people who dwelled in the land were taller and stronger. But the rest of them, Joshua and Caleb, saw that they deserved the land and they would be able to possess it. Keep in mind that those 12 men told the facts, but only 2 of them responding to it from positive perspectives.

God has provided us an oasis of life that satisfies our thirst. There is always solution for every problem; there is always renewed strength from God. But let us not focus on the problem, but on the source of the solution.

Every time we grumble, we grumble at God. Grumbling and focusing on the problems make us staring at the negative side. Start looking at the positive side and be thankful.
