Among the apostles who were written in the Bible, the apostle Paul is a relatively new comer. Although he has run his ministry for many years, most believers in Jerusalem still doubt to his apostleship.
However, Paul was not trembling. He was still confident for God's calling. He knew what he had to do over this earth, preaching to the Gentiles ([bible]Galat2:2,7[/bible]). He did not seek popularity. He did not seek hostility, even with rapidly developing fellowship ([bible]Galat2:9[/bible]).
Paul also did not even try to show off in front of the seniors. He was resolute and upholded the truth. He even dared to rebuke Peter (Kephas) sincerely ([bible]Galat2:11[/bible]).
Temptation to imitate and adapt to the expectations of many people often harass us. Why? because we want to be accepted. We too often tempted to show off in front of an influential person. Though they can be wrong. Today we learn the need to be independent in, without acting to be smart. Being firm in the establishment without being stubborn. Be yourself, without demeaning others - PAD
God created each of us unique, so why we should imitate someone else ?
