I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it. No misfortune is seen in Jacob, no misery observe in Israel. The Lord their God is with them; the shout of the King is among them.

Verses in Numbers 23: 20-21 above are the words of Balaam, when he was asked Balak to curse the Israelites. Instead of cursing, he just blessed God’s elected people; even he said he was getting orders from God to bless it.
In fact, we know how the behavior of the people of Israel to God. They complained for the water, they almost stoned Moses because Moses was considered as their misery. Not to mention, they also have made an idolatrous calf that grieves the heart of God, because they worshipped the statue. The worst, they lived like the nations living around them.
But what about the Lord said when He sent Balaam? There were no bad words coming out. It says, "There are no lameness in Jacob, and no visible distress in Israel ...." And we know there are so many bad words, but God did not see all of it. Not because He could not see, not because He considered the sin is meaningles, however, because He so loved us.
We, ourselves have felt it, haven’t we? How can our faults are not accounted by Him? How is His love for us? For that, believe that God whom we worship is a God who never say bad things about us, on the contrary He gives us tremendous blessing.
If until now we are wondering, Is God we worship really good? Then we have to re-ask ourselves, are we worthy? Actually not, but look at the life we have lived. No matter bad it is, yet there is something wonderful in the end. Only then we will understand how so amazingly good God is.
We do not deserve God's love, but look at our lives, most bad though. See and realize that we are getting too much from Him.
