Genesis 2:22

 

Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man

From an e-mail I read, there is an imaginative story of how God created woman.  It says as woman created by special duty, then she must have special powers.  Here is the specification: “she could be washed, but not from plastic. She has 200 moving parts whose many functions. She can prepare any meals. She can embrace many children at once. She can hug and make him/her relieved, either fall down or heartbroken. She must have cured herself even when she is sick and can work until 18 hours a day. She is gentle outside, but  is very strong inside.

 

When God created Adam, the verb which is used is same with verb referring to how the potter works. How wonderful when imagining God created Adam by His fingers as what the potter did to his masterpiece.

 

It is no less wonderful when God created Eve. The New American Standard Bible version uses the word of ‘design’. It means to design carefully.

 

At the end of its e-mail, there is an important warning. It is about the description of how special woman is. Even it is often not realized by women theirselves. Many women think that they can not do much either, so they always refuse to take a part in it. In fact, God created them perfectly even it makes them being able to help man!

 

Today, let the women arise to be meaningful person for anyone  in their lives. And let the men arise to respect women in their lives, as they are special in God!

 

Woman is secondly created not as the second but as the first needs the presence of the second.
