Genesis 22:10

Then Abraham reached out his hand and took the knife to slaughter his son.

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm100[/bible];[bible]0Luke12[/bible] ;[bible]Josua11-12[/bible]

In his book entitled Pursuit of God, A. W Tozer obviously explained about how was the feeling of Abraham whom almost lost Isaac, his beloved son to be sacrificed. This part was addressed at the chapter of The Blessedness of Possessing Nothing.

The gratitude for a loss is not really easy. However, it is different for Abraham. In Genesis, we read that his loss must be faced by stabbing and tearing his own son. Fortunately, his story was ended wonderful. God apparently provided a lamb to be offered to Him, and he got his own son still alive and lived with him.

We face many changes in this life as loss; it may be loss of family, we do not get any success yet, or the death of those we loved. We miss touch of healing and hope in each losses.

Knowing that lose something is uneasy matter. Realizing it or not, we always feel the willingness of having and keeping all good things. When we lose it, we think that God is unfair so that we deserve to sue and being angry to Him. When God lets the loss happens, let’s ask what would be His plan. He is the omniscient God and never wrong in act.

Loss tests our loves: to Lord or to His offerings.
