A university in Surabaya has the slogan "One Step Ahead". It means is to think and act beyond what is there now. Oriented to the future. Being anticipate first and then prepare for the future. It is a good motto, isn’t it?
Easter which we celebrate today reminds us of the figure of Jesus Christ, who is always "one step ahead". While most people struggling at the present time, He has prophesied about the future. While people would flock to hear His sermon, He had begun to prepare His disciples who would later continue His work.
While still in the middle of the road, He has spoken about His suffering and death. While His body would have been spiced, He is risen from the tomb. While His disciples still amazed to His resurrection, He has spoken about the Spirit of Pentecost. He was always "one step ahead". Why? Because He is God for the future.
You definitely know the Easter song whose lyrics, "As He lives, there's tomorrow!" Yes, Easter always reminds us that our God is alive and He is the owner of tomorrow. God who always walks before us in the future. Lead and provide a future for His children.
Therefore, do not be afraid to face the future, no matter what the challenge is, whatever its bitter in the past. Remember, we walk to the front, and Jesus has already walked ahead of us as the leader - PAD
Lord who risen is the holder of our next days. So, let's walk with Him!
