The time of God’s Forbearance

 

In His forbearance, God always gives us a chance to repent. Do not trifle it away because there is a time when its chance closed.

^“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” (2Peter 3:9-10)

(Luke 15:20)

“And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.”

The Bible reading for a year: Proverb 134; John 11; Lamentation 1-2

In a story parable about the lost child, Jesus tells us how a child asks her father some heritage and then spends it useless. Until one day, he has nothing and he has to work feeding swine. When he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat and no man gave unto him.

A story of the lost child is not for those one who do not know Jesus well because inheritance is not a privilege for the people who saved. However, if someone does not appreciate it and spend it useless, he will lose 4 important things such as:

1. He lost God’s love: in this parable, the youngest son went away from his father and left his father’s love.

2. He lost God’s blessing: the lost son were poor even he could not eat.

3. He lost the authority: the youngest son worked as a servant.

4. He lost the glory: the lost son lived with swine.

The only way for getting a healing is by “realizing our situation” (Luke 15:17) and then arise and come back to the Heavenly Father (Luke 15:20).

It is exactly for what is written in the Bible, the Heavenly Father is waiting His beloved children whom leave Him longer. If we want to get back to Him, there will be His love, His blessing, His heavenly authority and His glory. God will heal our life. (Luke 15:22-24).

For today, when you hear His voice, do not harden your heart
