Psalms
90:10
The days of our lives
are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet
their boast is only labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away

Microsoft released an
interesting ad to launch its latest video game, Xbox, as a competitor of Sony
Play Station and Nintendo. Microsoft Xbox’s ad shows a mother giving birth to
her baby, and just in very short time the baby grows up gradually and finally
dies in the graveyard. It tells us a new philosophy about life.
Life is short, play
more. It seems like we’re just born but soon we die. Because life is short, we
don’t have much time to enjoy it. Therefore, as long as we live we should have
fun and play.
Many people embrace
such philosophy, and they enjoy their lives. Solomon, the wisest king ever,
tells the young to rejoice in their youth and to let their heart cheer them in
the days of their youth, but eventually
for all these God will bring them into judgment (Ecclesiastes 11:9).
Life is short. What
are your priorities? Would you choose to rejoice and let your heart cheer in
the days of your life? Stop playing, start praying. Stop feasting, start
fasting. Seek God more.
