Ecclesiastes
6:1
There is an evil
which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men
The gifts are given
by God. Be thankful for what you have received to enjoy. The gift of having and
enjoying is a unity. However, some people have the gift of having but not of
enjoying. You should be grateful if you have gift of having and enjoying.
Ecclesiastes says
that it is an evil for those who experience. Nevertheless, many people are
given the gift of enjoying but not of having. Which situation are you on right
now? You’d better take time to meditate on it.
For example, when
you have luxurious homes and nice car but you are too busy with you job, and
you spend most of your times out of the town, and you go home once a month. As
a matter of fact, it’s your maid that enjoys living at your home, and it’s your
driver that enjoys driving your car. Do you realize it, that you are very busy
and no longer able to enjoy what God has given you?
A
man to whom God has given riches and wealth and honor, so that he lacks nothing
for himself of all he desires; yet God does not give him power to eat of it,
but a foreigner consumes it. This is vanity, and it is an evil affliction. (Ecc
6:2)
Ask
God to give you gift of enjoying, because by enjoying what God has given, you
will enjoy life.
