Colossians
1:9
For this reason we also, since
the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be
filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding

To live according to God’s will
is not easy. Sometimes in your prayer you ask something very different from
what you want. But what do you do when the answer of the prayer is not what you
expect before? Do you accept it sullenly? Will you complain?
Many times God brings rain and
lightning because He wants to show you the rainbow. Even though you may not understand
His will, He always gives the best for you. Have you ever received an answer to
prayer that does not conform to your will? For example, God does not give you a
partner you want, but when you live with him/her, you just realize that he/she
is the right man/woman God sent you.
Many times we accept the answer
from God with murmuring. Let us learn to live in God’s will. God loves those
who are grateful and faithful. Why? It’s because we live in this world only by
faith. It’s only by faith and God’s mercy that we can live.
Matthew 7:21-23 Not everyone
who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who
does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord,
Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and
done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew
you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
This scripture should remind
the children of God to do His will. What is His will? His will is the word of
God. The Holy Spirit gives you understanding and strength to do His words in
your daily life. Therefore, let us come to Him humbly and seek for Him.
To
live in His will is to surrender all of our desires into His hands so that He
can repair them according to His will.
