2 Chronicles 34:2
And he did
what was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways of his father
David; he did not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

Is there any
boundary for someone to start living right? Many people believe that at a young
age, we should have fun! And later, after we become adults and old, we start
thinking how to live right.
But a young
boy named Josiah, as told in 2 Chronicles, had different experience. Josiah had
been a king of Jerusalem since he was 8 years old, and he reigned for 31 years.
The wonderful thing is, Josiah had right way of life since he was young. He did
what was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the ways of his father
David (2 Chronicles 34:2).
When he was
16 years old, Josiah decided to seek the Lord. As a king, he lived differently
from the other kings. At his time, he purged Judah and Jerusalem of the idols.
He was a pioneer of spiritual reformation in his dominion.
If God wants
to use Josiah to be a young leader, then He also wants to use you. If you want
to receive the honor, you should be ready from now on. Do not miss the great
things God wants you to do in your youth. Like Josiah, you should be a role
model since you are young. As a parent, prepare your children that God has
given you by teaching them according to His ways (Proverbs 6). So, do not waste
your time on futility.
God chooses anyone who is willing to
be molded to become a great person among people.
