Ecclesiastes 3:1

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven

Bible Reading for a Year [bible]psalm74[/bible]; [bible]hebre8[/bible]; [bible]iichr35[/bible]

To all Americans, Mississippi River Bridge is very important to enhance agricultural-based economy of Minnesota State. This 27,6 km bridge connects Minneapolis to Saint Paul.

The bridge was built by Minnesota Department of Transportation in 1967. Its height is 64 feet or around 20 meters. But this eight-lane bridge was collapsed on Wednesday, August 1st, 2007, at 6 p.m. The cause of bridge collapse was allegedly not the terrorist attack, but design flaw. The 40-year-old bridge was finally collapsed.

The Bible appropriately says, “To everything there is a season.” The school of life has taught Solomon, King of Israel in Jerusalem, that there is a season to everything. Time flies so quickly; no one can freeze it. As one can get along with the process of time, he/she would enjoy the dynamics of life. There is a season for happiness, and there is a season for sadness. But God always makes everything beautiful in its time.

As long as we’re alive, we should use time responsibly. Hasn’t everything changed? The philosopher Heraclitus said wisely, “Nothing endures but change.” Today, we are alive, but nothing for certain tomorrow. Today we work hard, but we have no idea what tomorrow would bring. Therefore, let us subject ourselves to Him before being collapsed like Mississippi River Bridge.

Wise men mind time.
