Song of Solomon 2:15
"Catch us the foxes, the little foxes that spoil the vines, for our vines have tender grapes."
Bible Reading for a Year: Proverbs 7; John 17; 1 Chronicles 27-29
Our lives are like vineyards, and God is the husbandman. He who plants us with “the choices vine.” Jesus said that He is God’s true and chosen vine, planted deep within the heart of the believers (men and women).
The Devil is God’s enemy. He sends his little foxes into the vineyard to spoil the fruit of the vine. Many times it has usually been the little foxes that have caused the most damage to my life. “Little foxes” are harder to find than big bears! Thus, these little creatures of lying, slander, laziness, and selfishness often spoil our spiritual life.
That is why in the midst of the vineyard there is a tower wherein the Owner lives. He keeps a watch for “the little foxes” so that the fruit of His choicest vine may be preserved. God also never turns His face away from us. So when we are close to life-threatening situation, we can hold on, and the spiritual life keeps going up. And when the fruits of the vine grow and are ready to harvest, God will be glorified in the highest.
God is watching and protecting you from those “little” sins that poison your relationship with Him.
