Mark 12:30-31

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Bible Reading for a Year [bible]psalm48[/bible]; [bible]0acts20[/bible]; [bible]levit6-7[/bible]

A man tried to climb a very tall leader that against a wall. The steps were far apart from one another, and there were some people before him. But he strived to reach the top. He climbed every step by stepping on shoulders of men before him. But when he reached the top, he looked at the field across of him and found nothing.

That story illustrates people who chase worldly wealth many ways including victimizing others. Last year, a book written by a psychologist Douglas LaBier titled Modern Madness, was launched. LaBier wrote about what people can achieve in their life if they chase wealth. He said that when people chase more and more wealthy, they will lose two things: themselves and their identity.

In other words, when wealth becomes one’s focus above his relationship with others and God, he will lose connectivity. Their family and friends seems to be least priority and they focus on things that would be meaningless in the end.

Our biggest priority is not found in chasing wealth, because it is a lie created by the devil. So, do not look for happiness in worldly wealth, but let us remember who we are in Christ. Remember that we are created to build relationship with God and others. With regard to our daily needs, let us trust God that He will meet all our needs in His time!

Remember that we are created by God to build relationship with Him, and we are equipped through relationship with others.
