Do not ever pride yourself as you are rich, popular, or even has already become Christian for years or involved in ministry. Those elements can not be the reason for us to be arrogant or being pride before God. The verse above declares that God is so close to the brokenhearted.
This is an illustration of a true humility: a broken heart by tears, and then bowing down at His feet, begging for His mercy and grace. A broken heart is a sacrifice which pleases God’s heart; nothing is much more precious for Him unless a broken heart.
Those who are broken heart, crushed in spirit, and really longing the Lord is a modal for Him to make them as a useful instrument for His glory, since a broken heart (humility) is the ultimate requirement to come up to God. And a prayer which is being lifted up with a broken heart before God must be answered. Therefore do not harden your hearts.
