1 Samuel 16:1

The Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you feel sorry for Saul? I have rejected him as king of Israel. Fill your horn with oil and go to Bethlehem. I am sending you to Jesse who lives in Bethlehem, because I have chosen one of his sons to be the new king.”

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm141[/bible];[bible]0John18[/bible];[bible]Zecha1-3[/bible]

When Saul became unfaithful to God, his position as a king of Israel was replaced by David. The prophet Samuel, as the one who anointed Saul was sad. The reason is Samuel already loved and regarded him as the answer of God to the future of Israel. “God finally said to Samuel, "How long wilt thou mourn for Saul? I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go. I'm sending you to Jesse in Bethlehem, for among his children have chosen a king to me." (1Sam 16:1)

The words "How long will you mourn?" do not mean that we should not express our emotions. However, God does not want us to mourn endlessly. Samuel was obviously broken heart for being inflicted of Saul because he used to be a humble person. ([bible]isamu15:17[/bible])

From his grief and what God said, Samuel looked so sad to what happened to Saul. But God wants Samuel - and – all of us know that His plan can not be stopped by the choices that people make. God is saying to Samuel - and to us as well, "Wipe your tears away and walk on."

Shut our selves in the past will only make us unable to see the future. If things begin to hold us to live the future that God has already designed, then it is time for us to move forward. Is it OK if we feel hurt? Yes. Instead if we never sad when get injured, then there is something wrong with us. However, this is not the end of everything .
