Genesis 6:22

Noah did everything just as God commanded him

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm138[/bible];[bible]0John15[/bible];[bible]0Ezra1-2[/bible]

It takes 120 years for Noah to build the ark which God commanded. I imagine that he faced days of discouraging. There was no sign of rain for years; he faced ridicule rude as "a crazy man who thought God spoke to him." Not only that, he had to do every detailed instruction to set up logistics rescue of animal populations. The greatest is, it is written that Noah " did all of them just right when God commanded him."

Noah was a completely obedient man. He did exactly what the Lord commanded. Not surprising that Noah was pleasing God. He did not show any reluctance or hesitancy to God’s statement. If you become Noah at that time, will you choose the same attitude?

We are often overwhelmed with doubts to the will of God, we are delaying it by the spiritual reason such as to pray it first. But did you know that a delayed compliance equals to disobedience. Understanding can wait, but neither is obedience. Imagine if Noah delayed it, he probably will not finish the ark on time. He and his family will not be safe from the flood as well.

A direct obedience will teach us more about God than a lifetime Bible discussions. In fact we will not understand some of the commands of God unless we obey Him first. Obedience opens the understanding. We often offer partial obedience to God. We just obey commandments that we like, while the unreasonable, difficult commandment and we must pay the price. Today, let us learn the full obedience like Noah.

We can not obey God' in partial or even postpone the obedience because it is similar to disobedience.
