Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker

For many people when they hear the word "worship" then there is only one synonym, namely music. For you, worship maybe is about singing a song, clapping or raising the hand. Each person surely has their own perceptions about worship. But we often forget the essence of worship

Worship is about pleasing God, no matter what we do. Worship has been existed even before the human, since the angels exist in order to serve God and please Him. In the Book of Genesis, Adam and Eve and their descendants worshipped the Lord with burnt sacrifices perhaps without music or songs.

Furthermore, worship is not about to please our heart. Don’t we sometimes hear a comment, "praise and worship in the church today are very blessed." Or on the contrary, "I am not enjoying worship today." The purpose of worship is not about to please our heart, but to please God.

So, let's remind ourselves again that worship is everything we do to please God. We regard Jesus Christ as the center of our worship, through words, actions, all praise and expressions of our love to God.
   

Our primary motivation for the worship of God is pleasing and glorifying His name.
