Galatians 6:4
But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor
Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm121[/bible];[bible]iiJoh1[/bible];[bible]Ezeki42,45[/bible]
Monica, not a real name, comes from neither a poor family nor a rich family. Little Monica ever dreamed of flying into space while bringing along her family. Monica then grew up. When she grown up, her dream is almost same with when she was childhood, she wanted to have a lot of money in order to take her parents going abroad for holidays.
Monica works very hard. Moreover, she often takes her work home and she works overtime until late at night. Finally, Monica can take her family going abroad for holidays but in fact there is still something bothering her.
Those loads emerge not because of her desire to make her family happy. However it comes from her evil life. It emerges when she is seeing other people whose lives are more successful than her. The stumbling block comes when Monica is not able to see her situation and grateful.
We also do what Monica does. We do not do things that violate God's commands. We do not kill or tell a lie in order to fulfill our needs, but because we are never enough. We do not see God as the primary. He is only a 'complementary' who is able to 'provide' everything. At that time, without we realize, we fall in our desires. Although it seems good, but we need to be careful so that it does not take over our attention.
Test all things that we do and let us boast. This is not about to boast ourselves, but be grateful for what we have done in this life, for God's intervention in it . However, keep working by giving the best, do not envy to the success of others, and always prioritize God as the main one. Then we will see that life within Him is wonderful.
Being grateful for what we have done in this life, for God's intervention in it . However, keep working by giving the best, do not envy to the success of others, and always prioritize God as the main one.
