1 Corinthians 4:7 (Living Bible)

What are you so puffed up about? What do you have that God hasn’t given you? And if all you have is from God, why act as though you are so great, and as though you have accomplished something on your own?

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm118[/bible];[bible]0John2[/bible];[bible]Ezeki42-43[/bible]

In his book, The Purpose Driven Life: What I'm Here For, Rick Warren tells us that when a husband and a wife lent him a beach house in Hawaii for him and his family on vacation. The couple said, "Make yourself at home. Then his family did so, swimming in the pool, eating food in the refrigerator, wearing towels and their dishes, even jumping in bed for fun. But they know that the house is not really their home, so Rick and his family kept everything carefully. They enjoyed those benefits without need to have a beach house.

Do you realize that our lives on this earth same with what they have experienced? God lends everything that exists in our lives, our properties, homes, and even our bodies, for us to enjoy but also they have to be kept and maintained well.

However our culture says, "If you do not have it, you will not maintain it." But as Christians, we should live in a higher standard: "Because it is the Lord's, so I have to keep it as good as possible. "As written in I Corinthians 4:2 (NCV), "A person who is entrusted upon something must demonstrate that he can truly be trusted."

Jesus often illustrates about our responsibility to God, one of which is the story of a businessman who entrusted talents to his servants. When he returned, he evaluated the results of their works. We also will face the same thing, when we have to take responsibility for what God has deposited to us. Are we ready yet?

All of which we enjoy today is the surrogate of God, so let us maintain and take care of everything that He has entrusted to us
