James 1:2

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm114[/bible];[bible]iiPet1[/bible];[bible]Ezeki33-35[/bible]

Why do teachers give tests? It's because they want to see if their students are learning, if they are listening, and if they have been paying attention. When I was in school, whenever I would hear a teacher say, "Today, we are going to have a pop quiz," my heart would sink, because I was not the best student to ever walk the Earth.

God gives tests as well, and He rarely, if ever, announces them ahead of time. He wants to see if we are learning the material. He wants to see if we are really grasping what He is trying to teach us. God wants us to grow up. He wants us to mature. He wants us to become stronger spiritually.

So when you are going through a time of testing, trial, or difficulty, remember what God's Word says:

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (James 1:2–4)

God wants us to grow up to be men and women of integrity, without weak spots.

I have been in those places of testing, and I can say with absolute confidence that God has never failed me. He has always taken care of me. And He will take care of you too. God is still in the miracle business. Even if you are facing a difficult situation and looking at a bleak scenario, God can pull you through. The Bible assures us that He is the author and the finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He finishes what He begins.
