Oneday, our heart will stop beating. That will be the end of our body and time on earth, but it is not the end of our lives. Our natural body is a temporary place for the spirit. The Bible calls our bodies as "tent", but as a "home" for a moment later [bible]iichr5:1[/bible].
If life on earth offers many choices, eternity offers only two options: heaven or hell. Our relationship with God on earth will determine our relationship with Him in eternity. If you learn to love and believe in the Son of God, Jesus, we are invited to live eternally with Him. Otherwise, if we reject love, forgiveness, and His salvation, then we will live apart from God forever .
If we understand that life is more than just here and now, and we realize that this life is preparation for eternity, we will go through life in a different way. We will begin to live in light of eternity and it will color the way we handle every relationship, task and situation.
If we live in the light of eternity, our values will change. We will use your time and money more wisely. We will better appreciate the relationship and character rather than popularity or wealth, pleasure and even achievements. Our priorities will be re-arranged.
By getting closer to the Lord, we will more easily determine the priorities of life.
