to the pure you show yourself pure, but to the devious you show yourself shrewd
Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Prove28[/bible];[bible]Colos1[/bible];[bible]iiChr14-15[/bible]
We should know that every great thing will come from small things. When we are faithful in small cases, which may not be meaningful to the human, it is actually a process of strengthening our capacity to be entrusted carrying the duties and greater responsibilities.
One of familiar examples is about the parable of talents: there were 3 servants who were entrusted some treasures by his master. The first was given 5 talents, the second was given 2 talents and the third was given 1 talent according to their ability (see Matthew 25:15).
The first and second servants faithfully developed the talents which had been entrusted to them, and they could gain profits. When his master came, he praised what they did: " Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord." (Matthew 25: 23).
However it did not happen to the third servant. He did not want to develop the talents entrusted to him although the numbers were small, so that when the master came, what was given to the servant was taken from him. And that faithful servant was finally dumped. “And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 25:30).
Please contemplate this story continually, are we sufficiently faithful to what Lord has entrusted to us now?
