John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid
Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Prove25[/bible];[bible]Phili2[/bible];[bible]iking13-14[/bible]
God gives His peace to us, but whether we enjoy it or not is determined by each of us. It especially happens when we are dealing with a hard life pressure or problems.
Joel Osteen in his book entitled Your Best Life Now tells about when his wife, Victoria, was carrying a Lexus, inherited from his father to a car wash in 1995. A white classic car that was still smooth and still looked brand new, smooth without any scratches. Unfortunately when it was washed by automatic car wash machine, something unexpected happened, a scratch was visible from the front bumper, along the hood, roof up rear glass rear wind.
When seeing the damage to the car, Joel realized that he should make a decision, whether he should be angry and the consequence was he had to let his peace stolen or kept the peace and being grateful.
Joel finally said to his wife, "Well, I'm the only person in Houston who has a Lexus with a racing stripe up the middle."
He realizes that how much he was getting angry, it would not change the scratches on his car. For that he decided for being joyful.
The Bible states that human life is like a vapor, we live for a while and then disappear ([bible]James4:14[/bible]). Isn’t our time is very precious, so why it is spent on anger, disappointment and bitterness? Let's decide to respond positively to any situation that we face, choose to rejoice, and keep the peace that God has already given to us.
What kind of your life condition nowadays? Whatever it is, let's stick to rejoice
