Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Prove10[/bible];[bible]0John20[/bible];[bible]0Song4-6[/bible]

Before getting into Canaan, Moses sent 12 people to stake out that area. 10 people brought some bad news that made Israel being desperate. However there were 2 people, Joshua and Caleb, doing something different. They believed to God’s promise that He would give that land to Israel. They were sure that God would enable that nation to pass all difficulties. However, Israel remained not to believe God. God was angry so that nation had to wander for 40 years.

The most interesting is Joshua and Caleb must have received those consequences. They were not allowed to enter Canaan earlier. They have to join Israel wandering. It means that they must keep their faith amongst that nation for 40 years.

Their struggles were not easy but they could get through it successfully. They eventually entered Canaan with Israel. It shows that they completely hold God’s promise. Wandering is not alike punishment, but it is alike a moment to purify their hearts.

Having faith to God does not always bring result directly. The most common happen is our faith will be tested far beyond unsupported circumstance and condition. What happened to Caleb and Joshua shows that faith empowered and purified by those challenges. Their examples encourage us not to give up when our faith tested day by day - ARS
